Margaret Morrison is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Toronto. Her fields of research are the philosophy of science and the history of philosophy. Her work focuses on the role of mathematics for understanding the material world. She is the author of the books Models as Mediators (Cambridge University Press 1999, Unifying Scientific Theories (Cambridge University Press 2000) and Reconstructing Reality: Mathematics, Models and Simulation (Oxford University Press 2015).
