Information in English Tidskrift för politisk filosofi (Journal for Political Philosophy) is a Swedish academic publication on political philosophy, an interdisciplinary field covered partly by economics, law, political science and ethics. The field is philosophical because it deals with normative questions such as What is the just distribution of goods in a society? and According to what principles ought the citizens of a state decide on matters of common interest?. However, descriptive investigations have a clear relevance, since our theories about the justice of e.g. a certain income distribution would be of little value in politics if we couldn't grasp how that distribution would come about; likewise our normative theories of ideally democratic decision procedures need to be tested in the light of empirical research carried out by political scientists. Tidskrift för politisk filosofi was founded in 1997 and is published thrice a year. Each issue features new articles, discussions, and book-reviews of current Scandinavian and Anglo-Saxon literature. Assistant professor of philosophy at Stockholm University, Folke Tersman is its editor, and he has three co-editors by his side. An editorial board of fifteen distinguished scholars from philosophy, economics, political science, sociology, history of ideas, and history of economics is associated with the journal. Though academic, thanks to the pressing nature of its subject-matter, the journal has a wide readership. Editorial correspondence to the journal should be sent to: Folke
