Martin Gustafsson är född i Köpenhamn 1970. Jag har min grund- och forskarutbildning vid Uppsala universitet, där jag tog doktorsexamen i teoretisk filosofi år 2000. Under 2000-2001 ägnade jag mig åt post-doktoral forskning vid The University of Chicago, finansierad av STINT. Åren därefter var jag anställd som forskare i Uppsala, bl.a. inom ramen för projektet "Quine och Wittgenstein om filosofins relation till vetenskapen" (HSFR/Vetenskapsrådet). Sedan 1 juli 2005 är jag verksam som forskarassistent i teoretisk filosofi vid Stockholms universitet.

Huvudområden
Jag har främst ägnat mig åt språkfilosofi, filosofisk metodologi, samt den analytiska filosofins historia. Jag har publicerat uppsatser om bl. a. Stanley Cavell, Donald Davidson, John McDowell, W.V.O Quine, John Rawls och Ludwig Wittgenstein.
